Hi! All is well some years later, same barbell. I healed it soaking just my ear for about ten minutes twice daily. After morning shower and before bed in a small dish of warm, warm, as warm almost hot as you can handle iodized salt water. Make sure the salt is iodized. On my First soak -a ton of goop came out and I instantly felt relief, I continued twice daily until there was no more of that nasty stuff coming out of the piercing. The swelling resided and the lump went away. Do not attempt to puncture any lump behind the ear you may receive from this piercing.
